A data source is a SQL select statement applied to a single relational database that defines a set of data that can be used by blocks in the Custom Portal. One or more data sources can be created and used in the Portal.

Blocks can leverage data sources through individual queries and use filters (e.g. multi-select, select, data table)  that affect other blocks.
